Warmer weather is already bringing folks out on carts of all descriptions

As a reminder, TN law requires any vehicle operated on a public street/road to be properly registered and displaying a TN license plate.

In order to have a cart registered the owner is required to fill out an affidavit with the County Court Clerks Office the cart is equipped with all of the necessary safety equipment.

Last but not least, ONLY a licensed driver is permitted to operate such a registered vehicle on streets/roads.

The NPD will be enforcing these rules for everyone's safety. Yes, we do have better things to do.

Mom/ Dad, you are going to get a call to come retrieve your underage driver and cart. Maybe even collect a safety reminder.
